Yamaha PB-1 Parmetric EQ Question

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by Matt2, Feb 23, 2006.

  1. I'm thinking about buying a PB-1, but don't really dig footswitches... Is there a way to turn the para-eq on these puppies on and off without a footswitch? I couldn't see anything in the manual about this.

    Cheers

I thought it was active until you plugged in the footswitch, and then it went OFF and became switchable. Not a big deal, it's just a 1/4" plug.

The only way to "turn it off" w/o the footswitch, is simply to set the boost/gain knob to 0. So, you dont really "turn it off", you simply dial out the tone adjustment.

BTW, if you buy one used, make sure the sender packs it ... these things are small & heavy & will rocket around inside of a package you THINK is sufficiently packed.

  4. Cheers guys! Picked one up today, can't wait to give it a good try.
