I own a Yamaha RBX 375 but I'm not quite happy with the sound it gives me. I have checked the battery twice, but it continues giving that normal sound. I have a POD X3 Live and it doesn't help a lot, and that makes me think that maybe it's just the pickups, they're not good or something. If I want to replace them, can you tell me which pickups should I buy for it? And I have no idea, but I wish I could put a preamp with middle, since this bass doesn't come with it, is it possible? I mean, like a new knob for the middle.
PD: I love the sound of Myung, Felipe Andreoli, Steve DiGiorgio and so.

Changing string type can make a huge difference, and can be lots cheaper- what don't you like, and which way do you want to go with the sound?

  4. I think yamaha pickups are ok, but the preamps suck. I changed my RBX6JM pre to an Audere with a Z mode switch and it transformed that bass. The Audere is much clearer and more flexible. Plus, the Z mode changes and way the pickups behave, making it sound like different pickups.
