  1. Decided to close the original thread because it was getting long and the 5 string was sold so...

I bought this bass new around 2003-04 after falling in love with the way it played and sounded. Cost around 500 + change back then, and I've always said I would never sell it because it played so nicely and would be worth so much less in resale! But alas, I just don't play it anymore since I got my BB424X. Bathroom scale (3x tested) puts it at 8.5 lbs, and it's very comfy to play. With a wide padded strap, you won't feel it at all. Active electronics, Vol, Blend, Bass Treble. The neck is very solid, in the 8 or so years that I've had it, I've only had to adjust it a couple times to accommodate string gauge changes. Even when going between climates, no change was necessary. Hardly any marks (I take good care of my instruments!), but there is a small gouge on the back that looks like a BB sized bit of buckle rash. Not sure how it got there, I almost always wear a shirt over my belt!

Is that $250 or a different currency?

  5. Yes, $250

  6. Bump. If anyone wants a sound sample, I can email them a rough recording I used it for a few years back, just let me know.

  7. I really don't want to put this on eBay, please someone give it a good home! I forgot to mention that it does come with a gig bag.

Not really, I'm just interested to see what the overall price would be. My only other qualm is payment method and of course actually getting the bass. I don't know how the system works and whether or not there is a guarantee of me actually getting the bass...

And there is of course the matter of payment security... How does it operate, over a secured network or what?

  13. PayPal is very secure, and I believe that when you pay someone as a "purchase" it offers a guarantee so that if there's an issues, you can dispute with them and they'll make sure you get your money back.

Also, i've got some feedback on here, and if you want I can email you. My email address is my name, I'm not hiding and you can find me if you needed to!

I quickly ran some dimensions through USPS and it looks like it might be around 100 dollars, plus if there are any fees or taxes that have to be paid. If you give me a zip or location code, I can try to find out more accurately.

  14. Sorry, I misread your earlier post. I prefer PayPal, it's really the only secure way I want to get paid.

  15. Price lowered to 225 + shipping, and it's on Ebay too.

  16. Sunday bump!

  17. Bump!

  18. I'm going to lower this thing to 200 + shipping, and I'll throw it on eBay again. I'm getting anxious to get rid of this, buy it before I come to my senses or sell enough of my other stuff to keep it!
