    Holy crap!

I've played four of the 4-stringers (2 of them were amazing!), and I've had major gas for a 5 recently, so I choose to forget about the RBXA2... But now they're out with a 5-string? :O

Only one website has it listed right now (Thommann) for £430 (like, $880 0_o), but daaamn... If I ever see one of these in a shop and I like it... can anyone from Talkbass please saw off my card signing arm? :p

Anyone else hot for one of these?

Gah, gimme it online for a chunk under £400 and I'm sold! :'(

    GAH. A lightweight Yamaha fiver.

I don't know if I should be gassy or appalled.

  3. Even my Musicman Bongo weighs my shoulders down. Lightweight = Very gassy indeed!

I would love to try the 5. The 4 is a winner. Lightweight, nice Jazz sound. Yamaha probably can't give them away. :)

    I wouldn't mind a second one :D

  10. I can't find an exact number...but the spacing looks similar to the RBX375 (although the bridge is different)...at any rate, it's definitely wider than an SR5, but not as wide as a Fender Jazz 24 V.

My guess is it is around 17.5mm

They're apparently using the nearly-flat 23+" radius fretboard that they used on the Jon Myung bass.

I've always wanted to try the 4... Now I want to check out the 5 too! Any idea what the average weight of the 5 might be?

    Thanks,
    Pat
