I purchased this RBXJM2 John Myung 6-string bass to learn how to play a 6-string. I bought the bass about 6 months ago; it has only been played in our non-smoking home for about an hour a day. I had it setup with new strings when I purchased and the setup is still viable (I play with a soft touch so the action is low). The experiment worked and I have now upgraded to a Status Graphite all graphite 6-string bass. I am selling this bass because it does not get played any more and is taking up valuable space in our small apt.

    It is currently strung with D'Addario half round ENR71-6strings: 30, 45, 65, 80, 100, 130.

    The sale will include two sets of D'Addario strings: half wound ENR71-6: 30, 45, 65, 80, 100, 130, and D'Addario round wound (nickel) EXL170-6: 32, 45, 65, 80, 100, 130.

Also includes the Dunlop Straplocks that came with it as well as the original strapholder screws.

This is a great bass. It has a strong B-string, a nice sounding C string, and it comes with an aftermarket hardshell case. The bass is in very good shape: no dings, or chips. There are some very faint marks by the bolts in the neck, but nothing that could show up on a photo. One of the latches on the case is broken but that does not affect its ability to securly hold the bass.

    Here is a full description:
6-string John Myung bass with aftermarket hardshell case
Alder body with 34” scale and strong B-string
Maple neck with rosewood fingerboard with 24 frets and double truss rod
Seymour Duncan MM style pickup (powerful Seymour Duncan Custom Pickup SMB-6a)
    Active Electronics, 9-V battery
    Master Volume 3-Band EQ
    16.5 mm spacing at bridge
    Radius 23 5/8"
    Die-cast Bridge
    Inca Silver finish
    Yin-Yang inlays
    cool design on the headstock

Original MSRP $1,649.99. This one was originally purchased in 2009 as claimed by the original owner.

I am asking $700 including shipping (FedEx). Paypal preferred, local pickup is doable (I live in Baltimore).

These are serious basses for the money. I prefer a 35" scale on my 6ers but this model is 1 of only 3 6ers I played with a 34" scale I really liked.

Huge John Myung fan, and would love to have this bass. Sadly, I just don't have the money. Sick deal though!
