Yamaha trbx305 vs. Ibanez sr405ebcw

Again, I am a fairly new player starting over from a lifetime away from playing, but I am all in now. I started my journey back with an Ibanez gsr20 mikro due to my slightly smaller than average male hands, and I enjoy it. Afterwards I added in a Yamaha trbx305 for the 5 string and obviously much deeper sound and better tuning options. I currently have the Mikro tuned to the standard e a d g tuning, and need a 5 string for the drop d and drop c tuning. After giving the Yamaha a go I just can't get along with the neck and the active pickups. The Ibanez sr 405 has passive capability and an active preamp, so best of both worlds IMO. So, I am exchanging the Yamaha for the sr 405. Does anybody have actual experience between the 2, and with my hand size, will I like the Ibanez neck better than the yamaha?
