    Here is a link to the new Arctic Monkeys single. What exactly is going on with the bass line there? Whatever it is it has a clean blend going on.

    Just sounds like a fuzz to me. And unless I'm mistaken, an octave up fuzz at that. I'm guessing a germanium B:Assmaster could get you very close.

    Yeah, i'd say something like a germanium B:Assmaster would get you quite close to that. I'm quite sure that being Arctic Monkeys they'll have no shortage of production effects processors and the like, there will be a lot of doctoring to that sound independent of that bassist's choice of 'box.

    Great song/sound regardless. Although i like the Last Shadow Puppets stuff better...

    Yeah, a B:assmaster was my guess originally based on some of Ed Friedland's review, but then I listened to the stuff Grygx recorded and it sounded much different.

    I really dig that sound and I've always wanted to try a B:assmaster...oy
