i'm not speaking through personal experience, but everybody i know, mostly guitarists, that has bought a piece of DOD equipment has had it fail on them. I'm not exaggerating, and they may have been the exceptions, but personally, with track record, i'd go with the korg.
I go Korg as well. DOD has some intresting sounds in the store sometimes. But the sales people remove that sort of thing before you bring it home. Korg to me has a cleaner sound. By that I mean that the effects and setups can be processed but still sound fresh
I got an AX1B too, but ditching it this saturday.. it recudes the output of your bass by almost 10 %... i'm going for the analogue boxes from now on..
Multi effects really kind of suck....sorry. the last thing you want to do during a set is scroll through some menus. Individual fx will ALWYAYS sound better and the joy of reaching down, twisting a knob and acheiving instant results is awfully hard to beat. Find your three or four(?) favourite boxes and link 'em up on a pedal board with a cheap loop switcher. This one maybe..... http://www.mmfxonline.com/cpr.html quick setup...more fun to be had?
