Hi everybody, just recently bought a YBA 200 (the original with 6550 power tubes). I was wondering if it’s possible to record the amp via di without any speaker load. I know the Fender Bassman 100t is able to as well as the Mesa prodigy but I wasn’t 100% sure on the Traynor. Any thoughts will help
Isn’t the DI pre-power section? Then you’d just be recording the sound of the pre anyway. In that case hook up a cabinet to be safe and put the master on zero if you don’t want sound. Or just mic the cabinet and use the DI so you have the option of blending.
