Behold yellow Tort and Brown Tort from the Warmoth website!!
That top one looks like those confetti picks they sell. Fender 351 among them.
Either that or the bucket off stage after a corn on the cob and fudge eating contest.
The top one looks more like brown camo.
I'm sorry, but that yellow tort is just fugly, the brown tort is gorgeous. I can't conceive of a bass that yellow tort would look good on. My opinionated rant is now concluded.
I don't like it either, but I can imagine it kind of working on one of those olive green fenders? Take the fact it looks so much like a camo pattern and run with it; you'd look a bit like your bass was about to storm a beach in Normandy though.
The only correct answer here is red tort.
The yellow tort is really really...well...not to my liking.
Doesn't matter. Your tone and chops will be vastly improved with either "upgrade."
I've got a granite countertop that looks like the yellow one...LOL
Of the 2... I've pick the brown tort.
Not enough information. What color bass would it be going on?
The color(s) of the yellow one aren't the only issues for me. The confetti look of it is just not for me.
The bottom one (brown) looks like a viable alternative to the reddish tort on many instruments. The top one (yellow) gave me a headache. Yellow fever?
Unceremoniously stripped from the shell of the endangered yellow turtle!
A lot of real tortoise shell items look more similar to the "yellow" pattern than the "brown" pattern. Do an image search if you want to see what real tortoise shell can look like.
I vote clown barf!
you are very right, this is actual Tortoise nitrate. so it has a real layer of tortoise. over PVC
