I also quite enjoyed this amp, and almost bought one until I found a Yorkville 100B (effectively, the BM200 without the frills) for $150 used. A friend of mine has one too, and he loves it.

  4. I don't know why, but I tried their version with the 15 and it just sounded wrong......the newer model I'm talking about. It always sounded like I was gonna bust out something for rap and I couldn't get the edge for metal like I play.

the tone is geat!! it is 16" deep on the box . you will have to cut in a little on the eq but for the price you cant beat it!
i played the ampeg 2-10 combo and it was 250$ mor than the yorkville this one sounds as good and it was 250$ CHEAPER!
    they have a 2year 10 year UNLIMTED warranty ! with the 15inch
add on cab for a little over 200$ i have a mini full stack 200
watts for the same as the ampeg 2-10 combo for the same price!!! :bassist: ;) :ninja:

Typical solidstate "nasalness". Heck, even my Eden combo had it! It can be smoothed out with the 4 band EQ and Scoop (contour) control. Overall, a very sensible and nice-sounding package.

i agree it sounds better with the (contour) control maxed out!
they even recomend in the owners manual to crank it up! :eyebrow:
