MY NEW MINI RIG. This is what i have going...I've always dreamed of this and I skipped out on going to hawaii this summer, so I could get this. 1-New Mesa M-Pulse 600 2-Aguilar GS112 Speaker Cabs 1-Aguilar GS410 (Soon)1-QSC PLX 1602 But my mini rig is just the m-pulse and one of the GS112's. The setup is so beautiful and the tone is phenominal. I think I found my sound...::I'm getting flaclempt, talks amongsts yourselves, I'll give you a topic, Rhode Island is neither a Road nor an Island, discuss:: My setup cost me an arm and a leg, but I have a KILLER SETUP NOW.
Yeah...How is that head? I'm thinking about getting rid of my big & heavy power/pre amp setup & going back to the head only. How is it with the aggie cabs?
i live in Rhode Island, and yes, i will take any questions about the spelling. Did you know?-> -Rhopde Island is the most densly populated state in the country. -Rhode Island is called the 'Ocean State' because we also have more highest coastline to total square mileage ratio in the country. Now you know!!!!!
THE MESA SOUNDS PHENOMINAL!!! I never thought I'd end up with a Mesa Bass head. I thought I was for sure going to end up with an Aguilar or Eden. Aguilars were always too expensive for the heads, but their sound is great. Eden's were slightly cheaper, but I was in love with the Eden name. But if I listened to my ears, this amp, the MESA M-Pulse600 was what sounded THE BEST out of any amp in Gelb music. They have Eden, Ampeg, Aguilar, SWR, and of course MESA engineering... This amp sounds great, especially through Aguliar Cabs. Eden sounded good through Eden cabs, Aguilars sound great in general. SWR's have a particular sound that some like and others don't. And the ampegs I could afford were not nearly as good as Aguilars or Mesas, in my opinion. The head doesn't have a mute switch, but it has a solo knob that acts as a "pseudo" second channel, and you can put that down to zero if you feel like muting. There is definitely a way to mute and to tune, but there is no "Mute" switch. I think that Mesa's are ideal with Aguilar Cabs. The one thing I noticed is that Eden amps don't sound good with aguilar cabs. Aguilar heads sound good with Eden Cabs, but not vice versa. With my GS410 and with the 2 GS112's, I've been EXTREMELY impressed with the tonal definition and the diverse sounds that are coming from these amp/speaker combinations. Thanks for your guys support. I'll take a picture of my super rig once I get all of them in the same room and have the QSC PLX hooked up too. Then its all Speakon from there.
sounds great, man...that's the exact setup i'm looking at. no money, though. sucks being an E-6 in the military. oh well. that's what re-enlistment bonuses are for
Here are some pics of the super rig. I just need to get the PLX this weekend. God, I'm too young to have a rig like this.
I swear the more I look at and read about these aguilar cabs the more I want them. my SVT410HE just isn't giving me what I want especially when I pair it up with the BMax-->PLX1602 setup I sohuld have by next week. I've got this GAS for that GS412 but I havn't seen many reviews for it but so far I've pretty much only heard good about all their cabs. Looks great. making me seriously jealous
yes, you are dammit!!! but this is a most sweet looking rig! seems like alot of guys really dig the Mesa sound with Aguilar cabs...
