    And I agree. They should re-release that model.

    You couldn't get anymore extreme pickup placement. Nice lookin' axe but I wouldn't pay that much. :rollno:

  5. I'm more a fan of good ol' 4001s and 4003s. These are nice-looking though. Agree with spiritbass, not a fan of the pup placement.

    There was talk in IIRC the Rickenbacker Club thread about these very basses a short while ago.

    I thought this would involve a 4005 before opening the thread! heheh, I never predict things right. I spose this must be the exception that proves the rule.

    It's still sitting at 10K. I saw one of these sell for around $7800 a year or so ago, I wonder if anyone will bite at this one.
    I just wanna sit down with one for 20 minutes...

    I bet it will sell at that price. Like the OP said, 'you don't see these too often.' When they do come up, those with the mindset and the pockets to buy it will probably jump at the chance.
