I first felt old when the principles in my kids schools were younger than me. Now I don't need anything external to make me feel old. I feel it with every move.
Yeah, when my kids refer to somebody they know as being 'old'...only to learn that person is 10 yrs younger than I am.
When you mention a movie/song/cultural event and in your mind it was only 10-12 yrs ago... and look it up and see it was closer to 30 yrs ago.
When you are proud of yourself for figuring some new technology or app, etc, only to have your kids sarcastically say "Welcome to the 2000s".
The first thing you do after a big sneeze is mentally go through a checklist of all the bodyparts that are still in good order. No pulled muscles, tweaked back, or other traumatic symptoms.
When you drop some food on the floor, and ponder a moment whether it's worth the effort to bend over and pick it up, or just wait for the dog or cat to come by and take care of it.
When you think of all those things your parents did that made you think of them as being old...well, you now have a renewed understanding of those things a lot more now. Because you're doing them, too.
Instead of socks or a tie for Christmas you get a pack of Depends...
AARP starts sending you coupons unsolicited.

When you look at the band rundown for the weekend's music festival and there's not a single band you recognize.
When you consider what shade of beige shoes you like best.
