The frozen north get annoyed by the same top ten questions you yourself already asked previously... have discovered what carrots are, have used them yourself in several polls, and now cringe when someone else does...

...have tried but now given up the futile attempt at leading the post count...

Seriously though, I've been here a while but in some situations I still feel like a newbie, like when welcoming a new member to the board. What are the criteria for no longer being a newbie?

I think one route you can take for shedding your newbieness is to get properly Fuqaued. It's sort of like a hazing ritual. :D
  3. You know you're no longer a newbie when...

In instead of leaving a real answer, you refer
    them to a past thread.

When you have the "idiot" title.
  6. When you haven't been told to "do a search" for at least a month.

I think at some point they throw you a party in the lounge, make you a moderator, fill you in on the origin of the carrots joke and give you an avatar with a cat in a pirate hat...untill then we are all newbies.

Hmm, I've never used carrots in a poll. But I am still sometimes amused by the cleverness used by people in their carrot-related option.

    But I've definitely been Fuqua'd :D

  11. Hmm... I must say I have never had a party in the lounge and I am not a moderator. Two out of four good enough?

  16. I know about the carrots, and consider me a sheep in the herd w/ my pirate kitty. You wouldn't believe how tough it is to find hats that small. Thank god the $20 supporting membership gets you one.
  17. What the hell is a carrot?
  18. Whats with the avatars with the cats in pirate hats too?

You see words like fodera and benavente and understand what they mean.
  20. Talk bass is cool. That is all I have to say and that I will be selling all of my carrots soon to become a supporting member.
