...mine is so stunning as to be embarrassing...
If this thread catches on, I’ll be back with the story.
To throw it out here in the OP would be too much like bragging.
Suffice to say, it’s music-related.

    Funky Ghost Translucently Groovy

1970 Yamaha Classical guitar with original case and a pristine music book from the same year under it. I gave 45 bucks. A few effects pedals but nothing that made its way onto my board. I think I spent about 20 bucks on 6 or 7 pedals? I gave most away and one was not working. I bought it for the guts in case I need a switch or something else from it.

I grabbed a Tivoli Audio model 2 radio with the extension speaker for my kitchen. Almost new condition and the whole thing was a whopping $5.

Found a Yamaha MT100II 4-Track cassette recorder for $3. Sold it on eBay for $122.50!

  6. Squat is what we've got in the local thrift shops. Some of the stuff they put out for sale leaves me shaking my head in disbelief.
I did get a shot of an acoustic guitar that had action so high you could run your hand between the strings & the neck.

    ...a pair of Bose 301s!
I found them on Christmas Eve-eve... I figured even if they’re cracklin’, or even empty shells, I’d be able to get ‘em up and running.
    They are in Perfect shape!
...not quite the cajones of their big brother and sister, our Bose 501s...
Someday soon, they will be my studio monitors, down in the basement!

A (newish) pair of 301s for......
    $12.51. :)

I used to have a necktie that looked like that fish pillow. My wife hated that tie. If she ever asked me to wear I tie I just threatened to put that one on.

  10. Where I live, thrift stores aren't very thrifty. I think I got a Conway Twitty record for a buck, tho.
