Your absolute dream rig

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by Silverstar, Nov 9, 2002.

  1. Imagine you could have any rig you want...
    What would it be ?

    Mine would be the following:

    Glockenklang Bass Art Preamp
    QSC Poweramps (2x1000 Watts)
    Accugroove ElWhappo
    Accugroove WhappoGrande
Several nice effects (too much to list :D)

I imagine this would be a hella nice sounding rig
  2. Custom Stereo PJ (P to one output , J to the other)

    P Rig:
    EBS Multidrive
    Ampeg SVP-PRO
    EBS 212 (Tweeter turned off)

    J Rig:
    EBS Bass IQ
    EBS Unichorus
    Dunlop GCB-80 Volume Pedal
    EBS EBS-1 V2
    EBS 210

    Aphex 204
    Rocktron Hush Super C
    QSC PLX2402

    OR (The huge monster rig)

    Same as above except:
QSC PL 236 instead of QSC PLX2402
EBS 412 and EBS 410 instead of EBS 212 and EBS 210

:D Larry have you ever tried that London Power pre? What's the deal with it? That pic that you posted of it in a previous thread looked interesting.

    'Sup Bozz!
I have bad GAS for this preamp-
I want to buy it, hook it up to the PV, and go into bliss. It's about $1200 US, IIRC & I'm certain that I could buy this on a trial basis-I have not heard it, but I have heard OF London Power, and I do not at all think I would be asking for my $$ back!
Now.. please read & sign the following, copy to JokerJNY:

"I the undersigned, having read the specs, will NOT purchase this rig before LarryJ.

Besides, I saw your rack- You don't need nuthin!!
    & Joker?? Pu-leeeeze!:D

well i almost got it, powerhouse 1000 (diesel) and 400+. but i also wanna get...

restored 70's svt with new 8x10 cab (dirty)
    my mesa (clean)
    redhead combo(cleaner)

but that would be a bit much to take onto a stage

i wish mesa would come out with a programable multiple preamp like the triaxis for bass

:D That's a good one! I can't do anything right now even if I wanted to but I do like to keep my ear to the ground, so to speak. Now that Joker seems to be another story. ;)

Truthfully, I fully expect to see a thread entitled:
    by......you got it Joker!
Let's just hope that he's sleeping, or doing a gig somewhere, or freezing his a** off in the big apple
or sumthin' at least til I get my $3-4000 together!!
Then. I will post and be KING of the GAS-GEARHEADS!

Nice preamp, huh? Am I right, or am I right?

I just FEEL how that thing would sound thru the
PV- (w/my bass, etc.)- money,money,money- that is all it takes gear-wise-
    I'm workin' on it!
    Later, Bro!

My dream rig would be as loud as I ever needed, and I could fold it up and carry it in my shirt pocket.

Here's the rig i could use for the rest of my days:

    6 space rack
    Furman Power conditioner
    Rack Tuner (brand unimportant)
    Raven Labs MDB-01
    FMR RNC Compressor
    Carvin DCM1000

    SWR Goliath Senior

i'm soooo close. i have the main tone producing sections of that rig, so it won't sound any different, it'll just have a better compressor, ability to plug in a bunch of basses, and lots more blinking lights! :D
  19. Enough amp. power and speaker inches to cause moderate seismic disturbance would be a lot of fun.

Perhaps Accugroove would build me a WhappoTectonic.
