Smithereens - Blood and Roses. Simple but addictive. A good riff to learn muting!

My all time fave groove to play is "Yo Baby" by the Spin Doctors. It's on the Homebelly Groove live CD.... Totally awesome, and Mark White plays it perfectly. He's a way underrated bassist, IMHO.

"Bust a move" by run dmc

It's cool when you find someone that knows all the words and they start singing a long.

and "eat the meek" by nofx
  14. I would have to say "Rapper's Delight" by the Sugarhill Gang. But that's definitely not how I play it either :D

You say you can play that one. Rrright.
  16. funny that you would say longveiw, i was just playing that as i was waiting for this page to warm up.

my favorite line is the verse from "jerry was a racecar driver" it's a good line and it's a great way to get laughs out of people if you play it at three times speed and try to sing the words at the same time. it also looks fairly impressive to non-bass players, and can be used to shut up your local pompous guitar player.
  17. Muse - Hypermusic.. best darn bassline ever imo :D

    For ye non-tab'ers : ;)
  18. bust a move is by young mc, not that i would know anything about that:rolleyes: :D
