What basses are on your wishlist to buy. What would round out your collection? Let's try to keep it to a realistic list of stuff that might be bought in the next couple years...

    For me:
    1970's Precision
    Musicman Sterling (5 maybe)
some sort of Reverend would be cool (again, maybe a 5)

    Biggest item:

    Roscoe custom fretless 6'er

    Lesser may-be items:

    MIA Fender P-Bass w/ hopped-up electronics

Thats all i can think of at the moment. But the BIGGEST thing I believe I'm saving for it a car, which will be in the next year and few months.

    Spector NS-2J (USA Bolt-On)
    Modulus Quantum 5 string
    G&L SB-2

    That's all I can think of. :)
  4. 5 string Sterlings don't exist, they only come in 4s.

But as for me, I'm pretty satisfied with all my basses. All I'm looking at buying are amps and cabs.

I might look into getting a 6 string if I can find one in my budget. Also, I might get an ABG.

I've manage to cover most of the sounds I hear in my head, but there are still two things I want:

Curbow singlecut 6 string fretless with lightwave pickups

    Taylor 4 string fretless ABG

Fodera Private Practice Headphone Amp to make my wife and neighbors happy.

I intend to add to my rig another BagEnd S15B-D and perhaps replace the SVP-Pro with a Warwick Quadruplet Preamp.

I hope to work up toward one or more of the following additions:
NSDB-US5 Electric Upright (Just to have an EUB)
Fodera Monarch 4 (My favorite 4 stringer-I could use one from time to time).
Warrior Signature 6 or Smith BSR6TNE Black Tiger Elite 6 string (because I'd like to have a 6'er around too)
Martin B-1E acoustic/electric (for jamming on the back porch).

...and a nice old DB to put in my living room. More like furniture/conversation piece than an instrument.
  8. -A good enough beginners fretless, say a Yamaha BBN4F. Probably the next bass related product I'll buy, if I'm not getting myself a small practice amp first.
A fretless is what I need to make my "collection" "complete" (if there is such a thing as a complete collection, you can never have to many basses, can you? :D), and would surely keep me busy for a while.

    Then, in no particular order:
-A maple necked P. Doesn't matter what brand, as long as it's good enough, but I wouldn't mind a JV Squier.
-Something with a graphite neck, preferably a Schack or a Status.
-A Yamaha BEX, or whatever they call their, nice, semi-acoustic bass series.
That's about it, if I'm to keep things realistic.
Oh, I'd also like someone to play with, haven't been in a band, or playing in a duo setting, for years. I sure miss it.

    Atlanta / Macon (sigh)
Gallien Krueger for the last 12 years!
Just give me about 30k, and I'll handle the rest!

Probably none...I'm a teenanger and can only afford so many basses...well just 1 and thats my Rick. I will probably buy a half-stack, so I can play without a PA too. If I do by chance get another bass, it'll probably be a P-bass.

Edit...awwwww you said realistic. Drat. Well, that cuts down the list:

2 P basses (One black, one white)
    an FBB custom 5er
    Fretless Kingston.

Actually, specs wise, the Stingray 5 is the five string version of the Sterling.

I would love to have a Zon Sonus 5 and a really nice old Jazz bass. MIJ reissues or other brand vesions like Schecter would be fine too.
Oh, and a nice Rickenbacker with flatwounds to do the McCartney thing.

For now, my Peaveys do the job just fine.
  13. a couple more P basses;
a rosewood-board fretted one to string with flats,
and a fretless. I might get a Squier Precision Special with PJ p/ups and either defret it or change the neck (I like the idea of an unlined fretless to break out of playing patterns).
  14. Let's see here..... A fretless Stingray 5 to match my fretted one. As BW said, the SR5 has more in common with the Sterling than the Stingray. Also, a Sadowsky 5-String and a Spector NS-4. I'm going to buy the Sadowsky when I finish my engineering degree....

    Lets say:

    Reverend Rumblefish 5L
    Zon Sonus Special 5 !!
Brubaker NBS Custom (not realistic in the next couple years if I get everything else ;))
Fodera Monarch 5 (w/barts) (not realistic for me at all)

Hopefully my wishlist will be in the precess of being fulfilled within a year:
    In no particular order,
    Ibanez ATK 305
Upgrades to my P (pups, graphite neck, Badass2, Gotohs)
    Fretted 6 built by me
Fretted FBB (don't know if 4,5, or 6. Depends on how the others are coming along)

  20. Humm...

I'm pretty happy with my present line up. I'd like to own a Fodera 4 string someday, but really no need and no rush. I am considering one other project with Mr. Sadowsky. We'll see...

I would like to get a Baby Blue II combo. I was a fool and sold mine.

Maybe an Aguliar all-tube amp someday.
