I liked the one in the amps section so i figured i'd start one up here. Sure, its probably been done but atleast not in a while. Here's mine: DBX Compressor/Gate Real McCoy Custom 3 Wah-Wah Pedal Fulltone Bass Driver Budda Bass Driver Moogerfooger LowPass Filter Electro Harmonix MicroSynth Akai UniBass EBS Unichorus TC Electronic Chorus/Flanger Digitech bass Whammy Line 6 Delay Modeler complete with Monster Cables and line selector box for every box.
I am working toward mine so soon my dream will become reality!!! Gibson Echoplex w/foot controller Boss VF-1 w/foot controller EH bass MicroSynth Mu-tron 3+ Digitech Whammy Line 6 DM-4 Distortion Modeler w/expression pedal What do you all think?? I think it will be pretty phat once I get it all. Too bad I will have to read all kinds of manuals. Nate
I really just need one or two more effects to make my "dream" rig. Here's how it will look someday: In a 6 space rack: Furman PL-8 (I know it's not an effect, but it will be in the rack) Korg DT1Pro Tuner Digital Music Corp Guitar Audio Switcher (MIDI controlled channel selection unit, has 8 loops that have many purpose but I use them for switching effects.) Boss ODB-3 (which may be modified or replaced one day) MXR Phase 90 Danelectro Dan-Echo Boss BF-2 Flanger Digital Music Corp. Ground Control, to control the Guitar Audio Switcher. That's what I have, what I want is an envelope filter and a synth effect. I don't know if these will be seperate units, or a multi effect that actually has good sounds of both. Anyway, all my effects will sit in a rack under the Guitar Audio Switcher and the Ground Control pedal tells the Switcher to add/remove loops from the chain. Making everything true bypass in a way.

I'm pretty close to my ultimate chain Boss loop select pedal split into 2 chains Chain 1 Akai Deep Impact EBS octabass Chain 2 EBS Bass IQ Boss Bass Chorus Then the o/p from the loop selector is fed into an EBS multi comp. The only thing I'm likely to replace is the Boss Bass Chorus (what can I say, I didn't know any better when I bought it... I hadn't been here !)
i would say: crybaby 95Q bass wah ebs octabass ibanez phat head bass overdrive dod fx62 bass stereo chorus boss bass equaliser boss fv-50 volume pedal thats all i need, cant image much else cya later
Here's my dream fx rig: (Tech 21 Bass Compacter) Boss LS-2 Line Selecter: Send: Loop 1 Digitech Bass Whammy EH Big Muff Boss PH-3 Phase Shifter Boss TR-2 Tremolo Dunlop Bass Wah Loop 2 (EBS Octobass) EH Q-Tron + (EH Small Stone in FX Loop) (EBS MultiDrive) (EBS Small Clone) To: (Boss NS-2 Noise Selector) Boss ME-8B (for Chorus,Flange,Delay,Reverb & Tuner) Boss EV-5 Volume Pedal Line 6 Delay Modeller (For Looping) Trace Elliot AH300SMX Head with DBX Subharmonic Synth in FX Loop The pedals in brackets I haven't got yet! And yes I know it's ridiculous!
Whoops that should be EH Small Clone and Boss NS-2 Noise Suppressor. My brain's getting confused, imagine the effect on my feet! I know Doug Wimbish has got a stupidly large set-up. Anyone know of any others bass players with fx addiction problems!
right here my good man... the list above is my plausible list. I would actually love much more.. i am an effects junky!!! i have 8 pedals right now (not including booster pedal on my amp, expression pedals for the moog, and the Tu-2) and I use ALL OF THEM at EVERY GIG... looooovvveee effects... but you have to know when to use them, and more importantly, when NOT to.
Direct from my wishlist: Crowther Audio Prunes & Custard Guyatone MD2 Digital Delay EBS Octabass Volume Pedal of some variety Akai Head Rush (a boomerang, if I could afford it) Akai SB-1 Bass Synth MXR Phase 90 Digitech Whammy Not to mention: Boss DR-770 Drum Machine Korg Pandora PX3B I already have an EBS Unichorus and Chunk Systems 00Funk, both of which kick ass, by the way.
Current rig... Electro-Harmonix Big Muff (russian, green) Electro-Harmonix Q-Tron+ Z. Vex Wooly Mammoth Crybaby Bass Wah (the old one) DOD Bass Grunge Dream rig...
