Hey everyone I am a newbie & I was just wondering if you could have any lineup in a band who would you have playing bass, guitars,& drums, keyboard, horns whatever.Mine would be Clyde Stubblefield on drums,Duck Dunn on bass,Johnny Greenwood on guitar,& Bono on vocals. That would be one weird band but would sound really cool
  2. Guitar- Stevie Ray Vaughn
    Bass- Myself:D
Drums- the guy from Earth wind and Fire (really cool live:D )
    Keyboards- Page Mcconnell
My personal Roadie would have to be Vic Wooten, just because he would be the only bass player good enough to touch MY stuff.

Well, with real musicians, I don't know. However, I've always wanted to play all instruments on a song before, I want to see how it would sound. Not at once, (DER) in a recording studio.

You dont really need a recording studio to record yourself, adn then mix it down, sure it wont be super good quality, infact it might be the lowest but here's how i laid down tracks of me on guitar, bass, and then drum machine (i programed it, so i get points that way) on probably one of the lowest quality other than using a boombox and micing a room (which i've done with very LITTLE success). I ran the rca plugs to two rca - 1/4" adaptors which i had for some odd reason, since the signal you send from your guitar is mono, i doubled the signal using an a/b switch in a+b mode. For guitar, i miked the amp, played the whole song. Then i ran a DI from my Sans Amp DI, on a different tape. Then Mixed the two together using one channel for bass, one for guitar, copied the tape, then mixed it down so that both guitar and bass were sterio. Then i added drums, with output of drum machine to the tape player, and same process as before wiht guitar and bass to make it sterio. I think the outcome was quite nice considering i did it with a device not made for recording insturments. The volume mix was quite nice really.
