Your easter meat

    Just wanted to know of those who celebrate Easter what is the main meat you eat. Places I have lived it is Turkey or Ham, I am not one for lamb but i know many who are. Well what ever it is enjoy and have a nice Sunday.

    WE usually have ham...not a big fan of ham. I would love some lamb tough.

    that sounds like a Dr. Souse story.

    We have steak and chicken. And since half the family eats meat, half doesn't, we have this vegie chicken stuff called Fri-Chik... which is actually quite good.

    I eat it all. Yummy yummy.

    This year I'm having Tofurkey, Red Beans & Rice (Puerto-Rican style), then the fixens. And a couple bottles of nice wine.

    Im thinking tempeh this year. And definitely some good wines, since I gave wine up for lent.

    No, meat here either. Im gunna have to check out that tofurkey and that fri-chik stuff...I dont know what either of them taste like but for some reason I really want to eat some.

    we usually have both, i like the ham a little bit more though. but i could just live on the stuffing *drooling*

    Before my grandfather died, we used to gather the family (about 16 people) and eat pasta home made, my grandmother does the BAST PASTA of the world, she is italian ... ;)

    After the pasta, my grandfather used to cook himself lamp .. whi some salad ... tomat and some vegetable ...

    I miss that ...

    Not sure yet, although roast lamb would be near the top of my list of choices.

    The first culinary delight I've got to look forward to is the lamb curry I'm knocking up for a friend who's coming for dinner tomorrow (and, of course, hot cross buns, to be consumed between the two services at church tomorrow morning).

  19. BBQ saturday and SUnday.. the whole no eating meat thing on Friday is long gone in our family as we arent religious. So i dont know what it'll be..
