Just saw the Wailers again last night, no one plays fingerstyle more beautifully than Family Man to my ears. Every note is so gorgeously shaped and timed, and there is a punch, fatness and varying degrees of growl that are so expressive in the way he controls them. Every bassist should hear him live once to get a sense of what is possible with the instrument, even if Reggae is not your bag.
