Definitely G&L L2k series. What tone! And what range! Second favorite would be a nice Jazz Deluxe, because honestly, I can't think of a style that a Jazz can't be used for....though not as well as a G&L. To be fair, a Jazz neck is wonderful, along with that single coil sizzle I can't get 100% with my Tribby.

Fender Marcus Miller Jazz... nails the jazz tone, nails the slap tone, can get a bit hi-fi, can get groovy and bluesy. Very versatile.

My go to bass is my '78 Fender Jazz. I love all my basses, but this is the bass I play the most.
