It's been over a year since I made the first thread, and with Halloween on the way and all the new TBers around, I figured it was time to make another list. So what are some of your favorite horror flicks?

I'm not a big horror movie fan.

    but I LOVED dog soldiers

that was the best "horror" movie I'd seen in a Loooooooong time.

  3. I like the whole "dead" trilogy

Night of the Living Dead (black and white)
    Dawn of the Dead
    Day of the Dead

the newer stuff is just crap

    Psycho
    Amityville Horror
    Alien
    The Exorcist
    The Birds

Gotta say this though. When I was a kid in the 1950s, watching late night Frankenstein movies and werewolf movies in black and white on TV, would scare me to death. These days people sneer at the crude quality of those early horror shows, but in my day, they were as scary as it could get and they gave me nightmares.

There was also a very scary Robert Mitchum movie back then, "Night of the Hunter" or something. He was so scary in that movie, that I believe it was one of the scariest ever filmed, even including today's sophisticated film techniques.

Boplicity, I'm not sure if you've seen the previews or not, but Alien is being re-released in theaters for Halloween this year with a couple previously unseen scenes. Should be pretty cool.

Testify! Dawn of the dead is the pinnacle for me though!

...I never did start work on my zombie film, its partially scripted n stuff so maybe I'll implement it for a digital video project I have to do as part of a uni course.

NOTE: N yorks bus prices are a rip off.

    > "Silence of the Lambs"

    > Jon Carpenter's "Vampires"

    > "Salem's Lot"

Hoping the new "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" is quite good.

I've yet to see "Dog Soldiers". If you guys say it's very good, I'll have to rent it.

    "Blood sucking freaks"

A cheezy B-movie, but pretty funny in a sick twisted way! Theres this midget dude that looks like a little Jimi Hendrix.

I've got a weird taste in movies.
If anybody has seen it all I can say is "Brain slurpee" mmmm sounds good.

Oh Army of darkness was pretty cool too
And all the evil dead movies.

    3)The Haunted
4)The Lost Boys(Not sure if this movie passes off as a horror flick but I remember getting very terrified when I watched it when I was like 4 or 5. I just watched the movie again recently, classic. Certainly one of my favourite movies.)

I'm really surprised so many people like the movie version of It. The book was great, but like most ABC-made Stephen King adaptations, I thought it was terrible.

  20. When i first saw Cujo, i thought it was pretty spooky...Mainely cause i guess there is a bit of sense of realism to it.(Dog gets rabies and goes nuts)
I always digged Lance Henrickson in Pumpkinhead also :)
