so we know whose your favorite punk bassist, but who is your favorite metal or rock bassist?
here is a few of mine,Fieldy of KoRn, LEON MARCELIS of Krenshaw,Justin Chancellor or Tool.
  2. Metal? Geezer Butler
Rock? John Paul Jones, Paul McCartney, Geddy Lee

  3. Fieldy? ... ok
Anywho, Justin from Tool, Ryan from Mudbayne (very cliche so far), KB from Nonpoint... I cant think of heaps more, i've been listening to less and less metal.
I wouldnt count them as metal, but Billy Gould from faith no more is great, plus he plays bass in Brujeria, which is definatley metal, cant say i like 'em though...
  4. Rock? Dirk-Incubus, Flea-RHCP, Billy-FNM, etc.
  5. Due to extensive lack of metal listening I'm going to go with Duff from Guns 'n Roses here.
  6. Dirk Lance Incubus, JUstin Chancellor Tool, Stuart Richardson lostprophets,

    This is so easy:

    Steve Harris

    Geezer Butler

    Geddy Lee

I used to be a fan of Manowar and Joey DeMaio. But that was before I started playing the bass. Now I just keep asking myself "What's the point?"(e.g. piccolo bass).
