I'm a big fan of Rush, and so are you! What is your favourite Rush era?

  2. Voted for Prog Rush but I'm sad it does not include Permanent Waves & Moving Pictures.

Rush through Moving Pictures. Not a bad moment that entire time.

  6. 2112 to Hemispheres is definitely the peak for me, but I listen and like it all. I'm in the midst of their whole discography now and I never skip a tune.

Another vote for 2112 to Hemispheres. Although Permanent Waves and Moving Pictures are both right up there, too.

Been listening to those "Prog Rush" era albums a lot lately.
  9. Yep! I just played Jacob's Ladder (after a LONG break HAHA) Great stuff!

We all like Rush. I love every album. But we must have a favourite era!

I voted Prog by the way.

This is kinda wierd but I'll say it.

Rush albums I like more than moving pictures:

    -A farewell to kings
    -permanent waves
    -Caress of Steel
    -Clockwork Angels

Moving Pictures is really good, but definitely not my favourite. And there are so many songs better than Tom Sawyer. Cut to the chase, Headlong flight, finding my way, armour and sword, Cyngus, 2112.....

This is surprising, I expected a lot to put 80's Rush.

  15. I'm not sure I'd put Counterparts above Moving Pictures in my list, but it's up there. I agree with all of the others. I'd probably add Fly by Night in there as well.

Moving Pictures certainly has its great songs, but to me, the slight decline from Permanent Waves is noticeable.

I like it all. But I became a bass player in the 80s, and saw Rush then too. So for nostalgia sake only I went with 80s.

Gotta go with Moving Pictures but the first half of Hold Your Fire is awesome.

I like the list but all Rush is Prog with the exception of the first album. I would've classified that as Mid-late 70's and Classic Rush would be early 80's.
