  4. For my fretless, my favorite thing about it is the feel of the neck and fingerboard- both are just as fast and smooth as a guy could want. And...

    It's unlined.

But let's not get into that discussion again.

  5. What discussion??? Now I'm curious! What about unlined fretboards?!!?!?

I have six basses. Six of them are fretless. Six of them are unlined. I run flats on six of them. Some say I'm one dimensional, but I can get different tones out of all of them. Life is good.

Favorite thing? It's fretless! I thought that would be obvious. :D

  8. The neck on my Stingray 5 is to die for.

It's a good thing that the neck feels great to me or else my fretless playing would be even worse than it is.

    screw you guys.

    seriously.

i want a fretless again so bad. i definitely don't regret putting the moses neck on my sterling fretless...cos that thing was warped beyond repair.

but everytime i play a fretless i feel like this is MY sound. ESPECIALLY 5 string fretlesses. so much so that if someone wanted to trade me a fretless ssII or zon for my warwick i'd do it.

    i NEED one...bad.

Good one, Brad. Actually I hang out in the Fourth dimension most the time. :)

I love the fact that it's unlined, fretless, and MY bass. :)

What I love about my fretless (which is also my only axe) is the way a note develops under my fretting hand. I can feel the tone growing and changing and blooming. It is much more satisfying than playing a fretted.

And my bass is a de-fretted Cirrus 5 with red fretlines, by the by....

Fred, you got a nice pair there! :D

    (basses, you pervs! :p)

As for what I like: EVERYTHING!!!

The way I can make it go from a whisper to a snarl, the way the notes sing, the way it feels under my fingers, the way I can actually play a major 3rd perfectly in tune....

  17. Provided that you're talking mainly about your Sonus Special, Gard, I would have to agree completely -- well, except for the intonation part :D. I'm totally in love with the Sonus Special I picked up. As for fretless in general I just love the feel, the expressiveness, and the MWAH.

  18. It gets me more chicks than my fretted.
