  1. Well, I finally did it. I finally became a supporting member (I just got a credit card so I could pay  )

It's not that I have that many posts, but I've been coming here for quite some time now. And I was wondering (especially for the top posters): What was the first thing you posted about?

Mine, (and yes I'm ashamed to admit it, although it's been two years or something), was asking for slap instructions  Hahahahahahaha, and I got flamed by Bruce for not doing a search first (he was right though).

So tell me, if you can remember, what was the first thing you said here on

my first post was basically a hello and Jason Brown Staci and Black Sabbath Fan responded.
  3. i remember the reason that i joined talk bass was to get info on what amp to buy, and thats all i planed to do on the forum 'cos i'm not really a forum person, but after that i was hooked.

and hopefully if i get enough money from christmas, i too will be a supporting member

mine was some mindless question about skills vs vibe... and Ed F gave me some well earned grief :D

i just posted my first one today- asked about a new bass guitar.

I did try to search for this particular guitar and any posts concerning it, but it seems like no one here has used this bass before. It's nice to see everyone with their killer, high-end guitars- some of which I've never even heard of before!

Anyway, it's nice to have some place to go and ask these bass-related questions!

Asking about an upgrade from my Ibanez GSR200 to something better, for $300-400.

    My, how I have grown...
  8. None of the above- I asked what the difference between active and passive basses were.

I just did a search on myself to find some of my old posts. When I first came to TB (looks like I snuck in LOL, never even introduced myself) I don't think I was as confident as I (hopefully) am now. Looks like I went directly to Steve Lawson's forum and really only posted there for awhile. My first post I think was a reply to someone's thread about "what it takes to be a solo bassist". This is the first thread I found that I asked a question on my own:

It was about how to create basslines.

I can't believe how far I've come since then. :)
