i'd like to know which is your experience with instruments you bought at musicyo. please specify the intrument brand and name. thanks
I bought the Steinberger Spirit XZ-25 (5-string, headless, full body style) from them for about $329. Shipping was very quick, item was well packed, item was received exactly as described. As for quality of the instrument, well, it sounded better than I expected a $325 Korean bass to sound. Construction was good. I later sold the bass here on TB after I decided 5 strings was one too many for me. I seriously thought for a while of getting their Tobias Toby Pro 4-stringer from them. Yes, I would buy from them again.
I've bought two Steinberger Spirit XT-2 four strings at two different times (long story), and they've both been fantastic. One arrived with very small scratches on the back which buffed right out. The other was perfect. They sold for $260 on sale plus a discount on the hard case, as I recall. I have since defretted one. I also acted as buyer/shipping agent for my uncle's Kramer Nightrider guitar (to protect him from the wrath of his She Who Must Be Obeyed). It turned up in perfect condition, and has become his favorite guitar. Price was about $300. All have been better than the price would lead you to expect. And yes, I would order from MusicYo again without any reservations whatsoever.
I bought a Toby Pro 6. It arrived in three days. I had it for just shy of the end of the return period. Contacted customer service, got an RMA# and sent it back. Painless. I'd work with them again if I found the need. No problems at all.
I bought a black Steinberger 5 string, little square body-style from them about a year ago, 'cause I needed a small travel bass. It arrived in only a few days, was well-boxed, and fine build quality (what do you expect for $250???). I'd use them again if I wanted cheap gear.
I bought a Toby Pro 5. I wanted to try out the closer string spacing. I think it is a fine bass for the money. It got here in just a few days. No problems. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again if I saw something I wanted.
I've bought, um, about five of them so far. All variations on the Steinbergers. They all arrived quickly, in good condition. They pretty much all needed a truss rod adjustment (usually loosening as the strings were on the frets). They are fairly decent quality (ITPR -in the price range) and sound OK. I returned one immediately (change of heart and plans - no problems with the bass). The others have sold on ebay for close to their new Musicyo price (except the most recent). The latest one is up on ebay now and the used bass market appears to have tanked. If I ever start travelling a lot and want a convenient travel bass I won't hesitate to buy another.
I haven't bought there but my brother has. He got a Kramer Vanguard guitar and as far as I know he's happy with it.
you all know me how i dont like musicyo except for tobias.my bro bought a red kramer 4 string, which he had to repair 3 times.he also bought a small 15watt amp that was good for awhile but recnetly has been getting distorted.also the bass came 2 weeks late.although everyone else said shipping was good and good condition, then i guess it was just me,but every company screws up once in awhile.if i were u and getting stuff from musicyo, get a cheap tobias.
Well represented products. Good customer service, It doesn't feel like a hand built Tobias 5 stringer, but for under $500 its not supposed to. Replaced the pickups and preamp and now its the only 5 string I need until I can find a Zon for the same price.
