    Hey guys

    Are you booked for new years? lets tell everyone where we are on December 31

    Other info might be helpful too - what kind of music, what kind of crowd, how much money etc etc

    My band is playing at our favourite pub, our usual mix of unusual covers and originals, a very upmarket crowd with downmarket habits, and we are getting $AUD1800. for a three piece - good gig!

    Tell your stories please!

    Just got confirmed at the same place we played last NYE. It's a Cajun restaurant out in the boonies in southern Washington state. We got 85 people in a nasty blizzard last year; the room could maybe handle 200 if things go well. I'm not sure if we'll be a trio, quartet, or quintet yet. We do mostly jazz standards from the 30s-60s with female vocals. The diva plays flute and percussion, plus we have keys and I play EUB. We might also use drums and/or sax for this gig. We'll probably get a percentage-plus-guarantee deal, plus food and drink for us and a few guests. The food is awesome, and we always do well at this joint.

    I probably could've booked something more lucrative, but I'm happy with this.:cool:
