  1. Probably one of the following:

    Yes- Roundabout
    Yes- Tempus Fugit
    Yes- Heart of the sunrise

always loved Chris Squire since I was a wee pup. Great lines. Posetively orgasmic.

I listen to some bass heavy music, but nothing else comes close...

Heart of The Sunrise and Roundabout would be up there too, wow, my list looks an awful lot like the guy above me;)

Sir Psycho Sexy. Clean or with synth, it just oozes sex, which is exactly what the song requires.

Such as awesome bass line. Mine would have to be most likely "let's get it on."

Can't do it. Can't narrow it down to just one.

But top 3 on my mind right now:

    Jaco - "The Chicken"
    Rocco - "Soul With A Capital S"
Jerry Jemmott (w/King Curtis live) - "Memphis Soul Stew"

  8. 2 of my favourites are by the late, great Ian Dury.Norman Watt-Roy's lines in"Hit me with your rhythm stick" and "My old man" are classics. Also "Dear Prudence" by Mr.McCartney.

  9. Right now, this minute.. Mike Watt's line on the Minutemen's "The Glory Of Man".
Close second.. Karl Alvarez on "Sick O Me" from the Descendents album Everything Sucks.

Hey, I play that line all the time! Nice pick.

One of mine is Chris Squire's in "Machine Messiah" on Yes' Drama album. Not mentioned very often, but a very cool line.

I guess my all time favorite would be "Good Times" by Chic (Bernard Edwards.) Several other Bernard lines like "Chic Cheer," "I Want Your Love," and "My Forbidden Lover." are also favorites. Finally, "Run For Cover" by David Sanborn (Marcus Miller) is always a great way to see how good of a slap tone a bass has.:)

My favorites change from day to day, but today it's:

    Seemann - Rammstein

  19. Fantastic line. I read in a BP article that it was a Stingray with a (new) baby's diaper wedged underneath the strings near the bridge. Just goes to show you that great tones can be found in strange places...

I'm really glad flea always gets credit for writing that bass line... :rollno:

i have nothing against the chili peppers, in fact, they're one of my favorite bands. Its just that he didn't write that line and shouldn't get credit for it.
