Your prefered recording technique

    Personally I like to mic. my cabinet to get that big boomy, full Ampeg sound, and run a line directly from my head, to the board.

    I prefer the convenience of a DI. It can sound great too, if you know what you're doing.

    But this isn't the place to discuss this, right?

    Yup, this belongs in Recording Gear and Equipment, and was discussed several times already.

    For the record: Direct only. Sometimes I use Mic Modeler or Acoustic Mirror to emulate a mic, but usually I like the true sound of direct recording best.
  5. Mic'd and direct, one each to a channel, blend the two at mixdown.
