Your setting Fulltone Bass Drive

    Anyone like to share their settings to get a mild OD from a Fulltone Bass Pedal? I am having some trouble dialing it in exactly where I want (or maybe I just don't like the pedal itself).

    I've had a Fulltone and I like it. However, my opinion on these is that figuring out how to get it to sound right in the mix is impossible. I learned this by setting it to what I wanted it to sound like and then having a recording engineer say, "No, not good" and a live engineer say, "Can't really tell it has drive on it." I have the Bassdrive Mosfet. Don't be shy on the tone knob and be sure to use the boost a little more too. I use both switches in up position as well. I play through 2x12 live. In the studio, the guy I record with seems to like Amp Farm and the Ampeg program. I use the SVT for drive.

    My experience is that in the studio, let the engineer use his plug-in or re-amping for drive sounds and in a live setting you'll need to dial it up a little crunchier than you like.

    BTW, check out Chris Chaney's tone on "Love Song" by Sara Bareilles for a great drive tone in a current pop song.
