Our guitarist/singer is head over heels for failure,, and I don't know why. I've heard several of their albums,, and to me their is a certain level of amuaterism (and i cant even spell it!) in the songwriting. Technically they aren't that good of players,, bass player just plays root notes with ultra distortion and maybe a power chord here or there. Drummer uses easy rolls over and over. Guitar player (Ken Andrews),, may be the only decent sound in the band,, but he takes a semi interesting riff and does it over and over and over!

Am i missing something about this band?

I don't know, because I've never heard (of) them. Who knows why people like certain bands. I mean, most people don't "get" GWAR, but I think they rawk!

Have you ever asked your friend why he's into them? Don't slam the band if he likes 'em, just ask him what he sees in 'em. "What is it about these guys that you like so much?"
  3. They're okay... nothing special.

I did like their cover of Depeche Mode's "Enjoy the Silence", though.

I'd have to say that they had a good song with "Stuck on You", but the rest of that album is kinda Eh.
