  1. if you were approached by a manufaturer and were asked to indorse them and have your own signature model...what would it be..mind you, you can only have 1 model, but fretted/fretless and amount of strings are varyable...but woods, pickups, electronics and hardware are not changeable

me...i would hope to be approached by you know who ;) and i would have:

Jazz body, Maple Body With Ebony Cap
    2 Joe Barden/Kubicki Pickups
Ex-Factor Neck, Maple Laminate with Ebony Fingerboard
    Kubicki Electronics
    Kubicki Bridge
4 string Fretted And Fretless with Dropper
5 String Fretted and Fretless without

  2. hey heath..
sounds like you should play Kubicki basses. Im not sure if you've heard of them. They're not that great. but it might be up your alley! :p

    As for me.

    -6 String
-Alder Body (flat with tummy and forearm cuts), in gloss white
    -Fretted Wenge Neck and Board.
    -2xBart Soapbars.
    -One HEAVY ass Bridge.
    -Angled Headstock
    -Bart/Agge Pre
    -Vol/pan/bass/mid/treb/mid freq(3way)
-Simple MOP Inlays.. medium sized dots.

    Probably MIK.. preferably MIJ.
I want it to compete with John Myung Series.

hmm.. nuts to this.. im gettin nino to build it from Warmoth!!!!

  3. :D

this is going to be a fun get together...once it gets organised :smug:

  4. 5 string fretted
Ash body with Amboyna top and headstock
    Birdseye Maple neck and fingerboard
    black hardware
F bass preamp with active/passive switch
    Nordstrand Dual Coil Pickups

not a very reasonable production level bass, but I would love to play it.

  5. Limba body, 8 string unpaired, maple purple heart neck, bolt on, maple fretboard. Man I hate/love these threads, so many ideas! lol!
    Thanks
    Troy

  6. Simple,

It would be a carbon copy of my '84 Yamaha BB3000S. With the exception of a gold Badass 2 in place of the exsisting bridge.

I love my BB, I guess I already have my perfect bass! :D

I would love to have a signature Yamaha TRB, but alas, someone already has one.. I tell you what though, endorsing Low End Jazz basses would fit the spot perfectly. They have alsmot everything I could ever ask for, killer looks, I would have no problem whatsoever with that... hint hint...

  8. I would go for a :
    4 String, 34" Scale, Fretted,
Swamp Ash Body in Warwick's Fortress Shape, Satin Black Stain,
P/MM Pup Setup Passive, with SD Active 3 knob Preamp, Wenge/Ebony Neck/fingerboard, Ebony Veneered Headstock
    Gold Hardware

Sadowsky Vintage J are so close to my ultimate bass that I believe as soon as I get one I'll get the perfect bass for me.

    Cheers,

  11. It would be a doubleneck Ric 4003 with a fretless 4 on bottom and a fretted 4 on top. Colour dont matter to me. Standard Ric electronics.

Actually come to think of it, I always wanted a TRB-6P neckthrough from the early 90's. Finally got one, although I have to say that it looks like a prawn with it's classy tiger prawn orange finish on flame maple.

EDIT: I changed my mind. I want Samick to make this bass for me, since I'm nuts about my Fairlane. .

The Dincrest signature bass will be:
    Samick Tabu 6-string bass with:
    -Ash body in transparent red
-two EMG soapbars and an EMG 3 band EQ preamp
    -separate easy-access battery compartment
    -Hipshot A-style bridge
-5-piece maple neck profiled like that of my Fairlane, angled headstock, dual truss rods, 22 fret maple fretboard

Everything I need, nothing I don't, and likely a decent price should a hypothetical fan want to buy a Dincrest Tabu.

    The current Cobra: http://www.samickguitar.com/bass/cobra/index.html

  20. 4-string or 5-string (both?) fretted US Spector neck-through with AAAAA quilted maple body wings with deep purple translucent finish, and two EMG J-pickups (not sure about the preamp, though). Yummy.
