    Hi guys,

There's a new brand in the boutique bass world - Zakrzewski basses. Take a look at this:

Also check out the website - zakrzewski basses and the facebook page - Zakrzewski Basses | Facebook .

I'm curious what your impressions will be. I'm sold, Piotr offered me an endorsement - seeing his work I couldn't say no :)

    Cheers,
    B

I'm usually not too much into botique stuff, but this one looks tasty.
People will have a hard time pronouncing this though.

Is it "zag-jhe-wski" ? Is that r being pronounced or not?

Looking at their site, I really like that shape that seems to be the basis for all the basses.

    OK, let me try this:

Za-kschev-ske - that should sound more on point :)

And the tongue-braking name shouldn't stop the instruments from getting some attention, now should it? :)

Beautiful stuff. The shapes are quirky while still remaining attractive and not being silly.

prices are too difficult to set as standard - too many options, that's what mr. Zakrzewski says. ask him for an estimate with some options in mind via the message form on the website. Piotr called me today, saying that there are some dealer inquiries from all around the globe - the website was launched about 40 hours ago... nice :)

For marketing purposes, why not just call them Z basses, or maybe Zak basses?

  15. Nice lookin' stuff. One of the very few singlecuts that I find attractive. Why,o' why do builders still insist on mounting the jack on the front of a bass?!?!?

Looks like a rip-off of Brubaker's original interchangeable preamp modules (I say that in a non-offending tone).

I have a friend with this spelling and she pronounces it:

    zack-er-EW-ski

Guess there's a lot of variation...

never heard of it - just checked it out. I doubt Piotr would take anny offence, as it is not even close to a ripoff - Zakrzewski module serves the purpose of having the switches, output jacks and micro-trimmers installed/uninstalled without drilling through the body. It still requires soldering, and by no means it doesn't help changing the preamp module itself. The Brubaker module is a $1000 option by the way...

  20. I am proud to be Polish looking at those beautiful basses!
