Yep, they got a lined fretless for sale but not in one of the promised new colors. Guess these are slowly gonna trickle in now. Cool.

    Ooooooooooo...

I know if I end up getting one it's just a pitstop on the way toward an MTD 635 though. :meh:

    New color:

The 6 is pretty cool, but I wish they would offer it without fretlines. However, am I the only one that doesn't find "burst" colors attractive?

  5. It depends, but I agree with you, for the most part.

The 6 looks awesome, though. :smug:

I've found the Z serie (amber satin finish) to really look better in person.

I also think that Bass Northwest pictures in general don't do the basses justice as it's always hard to see the body closely.

I've not seen the sunburst Z's in person yet so I won't comment on those.

They do play great though and the Z6 low register sounds incredibly fat.

I talked to Chad about this bass (because it was interesting) when I was in there the other day picking up a bass and a few other things. Gorgeous looking bass, in person, much better than shown in the photos. I think it looks better than many MTDs!

I didn't get a chance to play it, though, as I had to finish business with them and then run down the street for a friend's birthday, but it looked killer. They're the first ones to get a Zephyr 6, let alone fretless!

Very cool bass for the money.

I really dont like burst colors, lol.

    I prefer just the wood.

But what i really, really hate ? Paint.

i love the z basses. i sawa fretted 6 in the usual z color when mike tobias brought it to the upstate ny g2g. it had a maple board and was rather stunning.

Wow, that Transparent Cherry looks great!

Now if only the pickups were black, just like god intended...

  13. I like the cherry but I'm not a big fan of the gloss look, much more prefer the satin or matte finish

The transparent cherry is very nice. I think the pickups should be black as well, but these are interesting.
