Zimmerly basses?

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by Tbirdbassist, Dec 27, 2005.

  1. I remember about 2 years ago now, in the Guitar Center on 14th street in Manhattan. There was a Bass that had a hollow aluminum body with aan off grey finish, with an all maple neck and passive MM style pickup. I remember the headstock being either 3+2 or 2+2.

One of the guys who works in there (Ron, the go to guy at this perticular GC) told me it was only one 2 ever made.

It played nice and had a real distinct sound to it, trebly, like a 70's Ric 4001 with the resonance of a hollow body.

I cant find any pictures of it online or any information on it period. Any other of you guys heard of this company? Or ever seen this bass?
