Zon 4 strings, rare?

    How come as far as Zon sonus special's go it seems the 4's are kind of rare? I see plenty of 5's and I even see more 6's than 4's. Anybody have any idea why this is?:confused:

    The only Sonus I saw in the flesh...wood...carbon was a 4

    the guy from machine head plays a Zon 4's ... and he rocks !

    I think Zon generally follows the high end trend of making fewer 4's than 5's, because, generally, those in the market for a high end bass are going to buy a 5 or 6(or 7, or 8). I have seen and played a couple of Zon 4's, and I've owned 4 Zon 5's, though I'm now down to one. I think I would dig having a Zon 4, it's just that the stores tend to order 5's.

    when i ordered my Zon Lightwave Sonus 5 fretless, Joe Zon loaned me a 4 string LW Sonus.

    man, sure was a kick to play!

    i kinda miss a nice 4 banger!
