I'm having a hard time deciding on whether I should keep my thumb or move to a Zon since I can only afford one. Since I'm having such a hard time I figured I'd ask around and see what others would do in my place. I really love both of these basses so try and help me out. :D

Personally, I think Warwick Thumbs have some of the worst, flabbiest B strings I've ever played. Other Warwicks are fine, but the Thumbs just don't have it- or at least none of the ones I've played. As a reference point, I consider Sadowsky, Fodera, and Modulus as being tight B strings. It's just not worth it to me.

    Why not the Zon 5/1?

wow...that's odd seeing as how the NT's are all the same.

my thumb and my SSII both had awesome B strings, equal to any other 34" scale b and most 35" scale B's i've ever played.

  4. Is your thumb a neck thru model? If it is, keep it.
A classic bass amongst all 5 strings.
