For sale only. Zon Sonus 4. 1990’s USA model with factory added truss rod and new hardware. $1400 shipped to the CONUS.

Comes equipped with the original exclusively designed for ZON Bartolini pickups and 2-band preamp. Very little use in my non-smoking home since the ZON re-build. Bass weighs 7 pounds 8.4 ounces. Serial number is 93133. Excellent tone and playability. Completely functional with no noisy control pots. Sorry for my lacking photo skills, but most of the pictures don’t quite show the exact tone of red. I think the closest one to match is the pic on the scale.

Includes: Mono M80 Gig Bag, set of used flat wound strings, set of used Smith Stainless Rock Masters strings. Strung with new set of nickel GHS Boomers. Fresh battery.

To be shipped well packed, insured and signature required at UPS delivery. I really hate to sell this, but I have no other choices now. Due to health and associated financial problems, I am selling most of my music gear.

The bass was sent to ZON to have the neck completely re-built with an added truss rod, new frets and fingerboard made of Phenowood. ZON also added the current model new Hipshot Ultralight tuners and a new ZON bridge. ZON has a spec of ash body, so I am pretty sure the body is 2-piece ash.

The neck, hardware and gig bag are in excellent condition. One side of the neck has a few tiny dimples just as from the ZON rebuild. There is some minor rub wear on the top of the pickups from the previous owner. The Mono M80 has a 2.5” scratch that does not go through the fabric.

The original 1990’s body and finish have a variety of player wear, nicks, dings and scratches. These are not really noticeable to the audience while being played. The largest finish booboo is an area about 1.5” x .5” on the side edge of the body with multiple clear coat cracks. The others are very small. I have included pictures of most notable ones.
