Hello TBer's, for your consideration and dreams, perhaps, is an exquisite Zon fretless 5 bass. I'm listing this used, but it's really in like new condition. Ash body with a nice flame redwood top and gloss finish. Gotoh light tuners, Zon bridge. She has a satin finish composite neck, no truss rod. Nut width is 50mm, and string spacing is 18mm at the bridge, 10mm at the nut (40mm from B to G string at the nut). 34 inch scale. I do not have an accurate digital scale, but estimate the weight at 9 to 9.5 lbs. The quote I got from the dealer (Vintage Alley Music) was, "Scale length 34", nut width 1.875 or 1 7/8" weight is 9.0 lbs." Plays beautifully with nice mwah and growl. Has good balance with a wide strap attached (strap not included). Custom Bartolini soapbar pickups, Bartolini 3 band preamp. Uses one 9v battery and is well-shielded for minimal noise. Control layout is vol, bass, mid, treble, and pickup pan. All controls operate smoothly and quietly. This bass has side dots which do not correspond to the actual fret position (they were between the frets as you would see on a fretted bass), so all side markings were marked with a black Sharpie with the exception of the octave. I found this reduced confusion when fingering. A luthier can easily add position dots if desired, or the blackout can be removed. Ships in a standard Zon gig bag. This is a very high end bass and it shows, impeccable build quality and playability. Sold to me as "New old stock," so it was in brand new condition when I received it a couple months ago. Has never been gigged or out of the house. This beautiful Zon can be yours for far less than a new one, and minimal wait time. please PM with questions. I disclosed as much as I can recall or know about this instrument, so please read this ad carefully before asking questions that are already answered. $3210 shipped to continental USA; shipping elsewhere covered by the buyer.

Here's a link to the Reverb ad from which I purchased the bass. Thanks!

How about a photo of the side-marker situation?

I think a Zon has a graphite neck, so no truss rod (IIRC).
  9. Correct, no truss, does not require one. Please read the original post carefully before asking questions already answered, thanks.

The 5 string fretless... My nemesis. And the most attractive of features here.

Absolutely killer fretless bass! IMO nobody makes a better sounding fretless than Zon.
