Zon Sonus Custom V, quilted maple top

  1. I am embarking on a major down-sizing program, so I am offering this bass for sale. This instrument is a Zon Sonus five string with a quilted maple top, in near mint condition. I can't find a mark or dull spot on it, but just in case there is someone out there who might, I will call it near mint. It sounds ferocious, it plays like a dream, it has absolutely no issues or asterisks. I believe it is about a 2000 model, and it has what I understand is the Polyfusion two-band preamp. It does not have a factory case or bag, but I will ship it in an SKB Freedom hard shell case, which fits reasonably well. The top is as good as any I have ever seen, so the price of $1,500 (plus shipping) is firm. If you would like to offer something in trade, it will have to pretty much blow my socks off, because I need some space more than I need another instrument. Maybe an R Bass, or a wonderful head and cash.

    Ash body
Quilted maple top with a clear gloss finish
    Bolt-on composite neck, twenty-four frets
Two Bartolini custom wound narrow dual coil pickups
Polyfusion (?) preamp (stock) with volume/volume and bass/treble controls on stacked knobs
    Chrome hardware

Tom's a standup guy. Good dealing with him.
I think that's a Sonus V (not Custom) though judging by the single coils. Still a great price.

The Sonus Custom looks indeed different I think. Very interesting bass though! :help:
  4. My friend the Bass Guru tells me he agrees it is a Sonus period, as opposed to a Sonus Custom! Thank you, Danny!
  5. Tom's a good guy to do business with. We've done a deal or 2 or 5 or 6!!!!
  6. I will include the UPS Ground shipping to the lower forty-eight!
  7. Amspoon, I can't figure out how to answer your message because the PM can't get through!
