Slater recommended a Zoom 506, and I was wondering if anyone knows anything about it.
I didn't actually recommend the Zoom 506. I posted that I liked it better than the DOD Bass30 (and it's cheaper). I think both pedals are fine for practice, but limited for live applications. I own a Zoom 506, and only occasionally use one of the chorus patches when playing live. (I do have fun messing around with it at home though.)
Zoom has also come out with the BFX708, and the second generation 506II. You may wish to check these pedals out. (I haven't tried them.)
If you decide to go with the original 506, http://www.americanmusical.com has them on sale for $59.95
Good luck finding an effects pedal.
I recommend a korg AX1B. It has all the effects you need plus an auto chromatic tuner and a metronome plus programs.
