zoom zoom zoom i didnt get a reply

    so....what do you guys think of the zoom BFX 708? i think it is pretty good for the money ahs loads of features and soes great for bedroom parctice and the odd live stint. the drummy function is good fun when you are on your own, i reccomend, anyone eles have any opinions??

    Good bang for yer buck, but in the end, you get what you pay for. It's a nice "training" board. Play with it 'til you can afford the real stuff.

    It's quite fun when your playing at home or with some friends but when you want the real sound or not only a autowah ya have to look for an other 1.
    I suggest the Boss mutiple bass effect I ve good experience with that one.

    btw afher a few weeks of playing that effect. you can bring it back to the store where you bought it because they'll take it back if you buy a new (better) one

    I realize you are entitled to your opinion, even if your opinion does suck, you could try to pick a better candidate for a "-- is the worst maker of bass effects"I personally enjoy my Zoom BFX 708, I like it so well I'm getting a Zoom 506, try to pick a pedal maker that really sucks, until you find one, SHUDDAP!!!

    i liked mine when i originally got it and then realized just how much a$$ it sucked. all of the effects sounded cheap and not a one of them sounded even remotely decent to me which is why i sold the thing.

    he said that Zoom is bad. not you. don't take it personally. also, consider that maybe the problem isn't that he hasn't yet found one that is worse - it's that you haven't yet found one that is better.

    yeah i know this post is an oldy by now but someone brought it back to my attention and i never got a change to respond before

    yeah this was nothing against you just again zoom. I have played a large number of pedals both multieffect and individual and have found in test after test that zoom is always the absolute worst sounding effects i have ever heard. You sound like i did when i first started. I bought a zoom and loved it mostly because i bought it. At first i was new and naive to realize how "plastic" the effects sounded and how much it sucked the tone from my ampeg. Later i was just afraid that i wasted my money and didnt want to believe it. Go to your local Guitar Center and hook up as many effects you can find and experiment. You will surely become dissatisfied with the zoom. I am absolutely sure that you will say that you have tried out "everything" else and your zoom is still the best and maybe you really believe that. If so, then fine, im glad you enjoy your paperweight. I would just like to make it clear that there is much much better effect units out there than the zoom line-up... god even DOD sounds better...
