Which Aguilar cab?

    Hi all,

    Looking at moving from GK to a simpler amp set up - I've got a Fusion 550, MB Fusion and 2 x Neo 212...really only using one cab and the MB fusion these days.

    Looking at an Aguilar Tone Hammer 500 and either
    a) DB112 x2
    b) SL112 x2
    c) DB410

    Leaning towards option a or b, and particularly interested in peoples thoughts comparing the DB112 and SL112...

    Thoughts?

    I have one of each DB 112 and SL 112 and I´m running them together. The SL is a little more sensitive and neutral sounding, the DB has more mid punch and cutting. I drive them with a Glockenklang Blue Soul. Main bass is a 5-string Alleva Copollo LG.

    I've never used the new SL cabs, but I do loves me some DB's. They're punchy, loud, and old-school flavored. Very much like Genz Benz's Uber series, which I also love dearly. My main bass rig is an Uber 212 and DB112nt, and it sounds divine. Also have a DB210 with another, smaller rig. Can't go wrong with those cabs, imo.
