Are there any TBers who've tried one out yet?

I'd love to hear some reviews.

Nifty... If its quality is up to par, then that will probably be a serious player in the pedal-preamp market.

Ok, that's really sweet. If the price is right, it goes on the short list.

EDIT: MSRP is $224.95. Couldn't find any availability date though.

Based on the size of the footswitch relative to the rest of the enclosure, it looks like it's going to be smaller than you think.

I think it looks M-80 sized. It looks pretty damn useful too.

According the the manual, the box is 115mm wide, which is about 4.5 inches.

Man, I really want to hear this thing. (GAS alert!)

Useful in front of my soudcard. Might have to check this out.

I'd like to see a comparison(sp ??) of this, the joe meek, the mxr , aguilar and other pre/di units.

I don't think so. There doesn't look like enough room for a tube.

Agreed--if anything it would have to be one of those subminiature tubes, considering all the pots and switches and jacks taking up room inside that thing.

I just wonder if it has the "golden ear" chip. I think that's what it's called. Also, I think you can use the Line 6 12V setting on the pedal power 2 to power this, so I may be interested after all.

I suspect not... I would think that if this had the "golden ear chip," Eden would be hyping it in their marketing material.

Here's the marketing hype for the WTX-264:

"The pre-amplifier section of the WTX-264 is based on the Golden Ear chip for amazing warmth and musicality. This is the same chip used in ultra-high-end recording consoles and is more expensive – and more musical – than the chips used by other manufacturers."
