    Hey Guys,
So a lot of us talk on this forum about how to achieve that perfect D'n'B, Dub, or Experimental Electronic bass sound but, besides TaySte (who has a ton of bad ass clips here) and the OS madness going on I haven't heard a lot of your sounds. So lets hear them!
    I'll start.

This is my newest band I have put together. It is a nu-jazz/dub/d'n'b thing.
    Look forward to your clips!:bassist:

    Merlinaz Nice Stuff!
    What is your set up?

Yes, all the stuff on thefusekc is live.
    My Chain is:OC2>Moog101>(Sub Bass Loop A)>Boss LS2>Wooly Mammoth>Heliotrope>Bassballs>Smallstone>ShapeShifter Tremolo (Loop B).
All into a bbe b max pre for compression and eq. I usually mix A/B 50/50.

That's really cool, actually! And you're not too far away, you should definitely come up to Omaha/Lincoln and do a show with us sometime once we're done with the new material and gigging again.

Rottenramone, I like the Breakbeat Theory Stuff Goldhill is Sick!
    Is all that stuff improvised?
What are the red and black pedal in the right hand corner?

Thanks man :) We used to improvise a lot till our singer Biddy came in. But we usually end up doing completely different versions of it everytime we play the same song.

The red pedal is a Banzai Dual Looper and the Blue (not black) is an RMC FK-1 Compressor.

But I've changed my setup recently. Will take some pics of that.

Wow, you guys all do really interesting stuff. It makes me happy to see so many "outside" thinkers playing music and pushing the parameters of the instrument. It kicks me in the ass and makes me work on my game a little more.

Good Stuff! Sounds a little like Squarepusher "Feed me Werid Things."
What programs do you use? Are you over dubbing the bass parts?

  15. Thanks! For the song Crickety Condor I used Noteworthy, Meteor Deep and Deserts were made using Finale 2003, and Slow Down and No Barrier were made with Audacity.

A few samples in Slow Down and No Barrier were recorded by me, but none of my bass playing is on those tracks. I just got a Creative X-fi sound card so I should have some of my bass playing recorded soon.

Check out Plaid if you like my stuff, I've been told I sound like them.

What programs are you using? I know some of it is live instruments, but what are the programmed sounds from?

Plaid, just like everything from Warp is great, although I haven't listen to them for a while. I have been into glitch stuff like Bogdan Razinski,Chris Clark, and Venetian Snares. Talk about guys that can program some killer BASS lines!

I use Abelton Live 6 and Reason 4 for my beat programming, and Camel Phat and Camel Space VSTs for processing them. I haven't really be happy with them processing my bass though.

The beats are the only programmed things in The Fuse project, although both the guitar and trumpet are processed though Ableton Live with VSTs by our sound man. The bass sounds are just my effects rig strait to the mixing board.
