Have I assigned you a number before? I'm really sorry. Now that I've seen a 96 handed out, I may have missed quite a few.

I suggest a search, search for #95, #94 etc, posted by gregmon79, this thread only. You'll find the missing names.

Just got my VD. Serial # 33. Anyone know of a clump of "off" pedals? Just want to make sure that serial # 31, 32, 34, 35, etc... Haven't all had some common problems. I'm sure its killer though!

I should have caught that. Imagine if the beat buddy had been introduced as the "the clap" instead.

Guitar shop owner: Anything come in yesterday?

Guitar shop clerk: I got a case of the clap.

Owner: Take the day off, kid.

Ok, on a serious note, since there is a warning about power draw for the VD, just wanted to check that a "normal hookup" to the Voodoo PP2 will be okay?

Any 9 or 12 volt regulated supply should work fine. Just don't use the unregulated option on the PP-2. Are you having problems with yours haven't heard of any V-Deluxe issues yet...

I'd like a number - VMT owner here.

I absolutely love my VMT and have been spending way too much time wondering whether it makes sense to add any more Darkglass to my board. I am thinking a Duality is probably the best call. I have a reasonably small board (a Pedaltrain Jr) where I go: Boss OC-2 -> VMT -> Moog MF-101 filter -> MXR script Phase 90 -> EHX Memory Boy.

Sometimes I run a clone of the Mutron Octave divider in the place of the OC-2 and sometimes a Mutron III in the place of the MF-101 (all depending if I have access to 110 volt power or not). Pretty sure the mini-Frooger Delay will take the place of the Memory Boy when it finally comes out. So to me I have much more room for a fuzz pedal than an overdrive. Especially since IMHO the VMT can handle driven tones very well on its own.

I do kinda wish I had waited a little longer to buy the VMT as the Deluxe came out soon after I received my VMT and a few of the features (namely the direct out - could be super useful sometimes).

BTW - I just noticed that I have been running my VMT on 12 volts. I had an AnalogMan Prince of Tone in that position until I put the VMT in. Is this a good idea or a bad? I just clicked the dip switch on the Fueltank back to 9 volts - but do you guys like the sound of the VMT better on 12 volts? I thought it sounded brilliant where it was but don't want to hurt the pedal.

All DG pedals are designed to run at 9v. But you can run them at 12v. It's not something they recommend but it's still in the green if you do. DO NOT run any of the @ 18v. Ever.

  16. Is there a way to have the DI on the B7K remain active when the pedal is switched off?

    I thought it was.

EDIT: Unless you have the early Finnish-made version, then I don't think it's possible.

But there is also no benefit to run them at 12v is what I am reading in your post. Is that right? It is no problem for me to run it at 9v. None whatsoever. I asked because I have had many pedals in the past that benefited from the extra juice - usually in the way of more headroom.

I've run my B7K at 12v. To me, it didn't make a large enough difference for me to keep it there. So to me, to answer your question, no, it doesn't benefit. For me. I've heard by a couple others that it adds a little. For others, I've heard they say there's no difference. So it really up to you. Maybe ILL try it again.
